The Best Beef Kebabs On The Grill

As with these beef kebabs, the marinade is the secret to a successful grilling dish. Every taste is abundant because to the blend of oyster sauce, soy sauce, honey, sherry, ginger, and garlic.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 c. oyster sauce
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 2 Tbsp. dry sherry or Chinese rice wine
  • 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil, plus more for the grill
  • 1 Tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. grated fresh ginger (from a 1-inch piece)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 lb. beef sirloin, trimmed of fat and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 c. long-grain white rice
  • 2 Japanese eggplants, cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 2 green bell peppers, cut into 1-inch chunks

Instructions:

Step:No:01

To make the marinade, combine the oyster sauce, soy sauce, honey, sherry, vinegar, ginger, and garlic in a large bowl along with 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Take off one-fourth of the marinade and reserve it for brushing.

Step:No:02

Toss to coat the steak with the remaining marinade. For a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 2 hours, refrigerate.

Step:No:03

Combine the rice and 3 cups water in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce to a simmer, cover and cook 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside, covered, for 10 more minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork and set aside.

Step:No:04

In the meantime, give 12 wooden skewers a minimum of 20 minutes to soak in water. Set a grill pan or grill at a medium heat. Combine the bell peppers and eggplant in a big bowl along with the leftover 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Alternating between the steak, eggplant, and bell peppers, thread the contents onto the skewers.

Step:No:05

Grates on the grill should be oiled. Cook the kebabs in two batches for five to six minutes, or until the bottoms of the kebabs are browned. After turning, brush the kebabs with the marinade you set out. Grill the kebabs for a further three to four minutes, turning them about as necessary, or until the veggies are soft and the beef is medium rare. Accompany the dish with rice.
