Best Oven Roasted Turkey Breast Recipes

Simple to prepare, this turkey breast recipe is excellent for sandwiches, leftovers, and dinner. modified from larger recipes intended for larger families with larger appetites for our two-person family.

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt-free garlic and herb seasoning blend (such as Mrs. Dash)
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 (3 pound) turkey breast with skin
  • 1 teaspoon minced shallot
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 splash dry white wine
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons half-and-half (Optional)

Instructions:

Step No:01

Turn the oven on to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).

Step No:02

In a bowl, combine 1/4 cup butter, paprika, garlic, Italian seasoning, garlic and herb spice, salt, and black pepper.

Step No:03

Put the skin-side up turkey breast in a roasting pan. Using your fingers, loosen the skin of the turkey breast. Then, brush half of the butter mixture both on top and beneath the skin. Keep the leftover butter mixture aside. Cover a loosely shaped turkey breast with aluminum foil.

Roast the turkey breast for one hour in a preheated oven, then bast with the leftover butter mixture. Go back to the oven and continue roasting for about 30 more minutes, or until the juices run clear and an instant-read meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the breast but not touching the bone registers 165 degrees Fahrenheit (65 degrees Celsius). Before serving, give the turkey breast 10 to 15 minutes to rest.

Pan drippings should be transferred to a skillet while the turkey rests. Remove any extra grease from the skillet, leaving about 1 tablespoon behind. Put a skillet over low heat and simmer, stirring, until shallot becomes opaque, about 5 minutes.

In a skillet with a shallot and 1 tablespoon butter melted, stir in the white wine while scraping off any browned food particles. Add flour and chicken stock, whisking until smooth. Simmer while whisking continuously until thickened. Add half-and-half to the gravy to make it creamier and lighter.
